I am a certified Psychiatry Mental Health Nurse Practitioner practicing in the State of California for three years. I provided care to underserved community, and individuals with dual diagnosis. I also provided care to patients with mental health problems, via Telehealth, on a part-time basis for 2 years.
I obtained Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix. Subsequently, I obtained Master of Science degree in Nursing, from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Los Angeles, with specialty in Psychiatry Mental Health.
I have ANCC certification in PMHNP, with a DEA certificate. I have the California board approved 103 Nurse Practitioner status along with its furnishing certificate.
 
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, I provided care, at LAC-USC Medical Los Angeles, to patients with Psychiatric mental health problems for 12+ years. I took care of patients with various mental illness including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Bipolar disorder, substance use disorder etc. in an acute care hospital.
I am a compassionate PMHNP who listens to my patients without being judgmental. It has been and will continue to be my goal to help in combating the stigma attached to mental illness through educating and advocating for individuals with mental health problem. My goal is geared towards helping patients overcome their challenges so they can be able to effectively function in their communities. I have unrelenting passion to make a difference in the lives of others. My motivation comes from helping patients to positively change their lives and restore their sense of belonging in their respective communities.
Therefore, I value providing comprehensive, quality, and holistic care to my patient. I have very good work ethics, collaborate effectively with staff from other medical specialties, and always perform more than expected.
 
I have been married for 26 years with a son and daughter currently in college. In my free time, I enjoy walking, exercising, and spending time with family. Also, I enjoy learning about different cultures from diverse ethnic populations.
