I was born one of 9 children on Long Island New York into a very Italian family.  Like all families, there were struggles, my father died when I was 5.  Before his death he taught me a passion for reading, for study, art and the power of observation.  I was very fortunate to be raised in a home where Beethoven, Stravinski, Opera, and art were common experiences and nourished my life...along with homemade sauce, espresso, and a killer Lasagna! 

I have been licensed since 1994. 

I have been with APA for 10+ years (with a brief break between those years). 

I specialize in EMDR and Sand Play, the Dora Kalf method. However, I feel confident in movement between different methodologies if they are necessary to meet the clinical needs of my client.  Such would be CBT, DBT, Gestalt, and ALWAYS Person-Centered Therapy practices.  I believe that as a therapist in today's culture, it is imperative to have a diverse toolbox.
